Ojibwe: Anishinaabeg and Blackfoot: Niitsítapi) a Native American nation of the Algonquian family who inhabited the Wampanoki (i.e. “Dawnland”; c.f. Ojibwe: Waabanaki Abenaki: Wabanakiyik) region including present-day Connecticut.
