Elections were held in the Australian state of Queensland on 19 September 1992 to elect the 89 members of the state’s Legislative Assembly.The Australian Labor Party led by Wayne Goss was reelected for a second term with a strong majority government. The election effectively confirmed the status quo although the ALP lost a small percentage of votes and seats.This was the first election in many decades in which a zonal system of electoral representation did not exist.
