The Queensland Competition Authority (QCA) is an statutory authority which aims to provide independent and objective appraisals to matters which are subject to its review. The body was established under the Queensland Competition Authority Act 1997 after a Council of Australian Governments agreement was settled upon to pursue implementation of national competition policy.
