Protozoan infections are parasitic diseases organisms formerly classified in the Kingdom Protozoa. They include organisms classified in Amoebozoa Excavata and Chromalveolata.Examples include Entamoeba histolytica Plasmodium (some of which cause malaria) and Giardia lamblia.
