The Protea Cup is a semi professional rugby league competition in South Africa and is the second division of South Africa. The current holders are the TUKS Blues after winning the 2013-14 season against the Middelburg Tigers in the grand final. During the 2013-14 season the Johannesburg Bobbies and the Germiston Fish Eagles withdrew from the competition 3 weeks before the final round.
