Princess Knight released in Japan as Ribon no Kishi (リボンの騎士) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Osamu Tezuka. It ran through four serializations from 1953 to 1968 and was adapted into a Japanese animated series. It was dubbed into English and brought over to Western audiences by Joe Oriolo in 1970 where it was called Choppy and the Princess. However due to several disputes by the syndicators over broadcast rights it was rarely seen in the United States.
