Princess Flavia is an operetta in three acts with book and lyrics by Harry B. Smith and music by Sigmund Romberg based on The Prisoner of Zenda by Anthony Hope. It was originally entitled “A Royal Pretender” (see image). Produced by Lee Shubert and J. J. Shubert the Broadway production opened on November 2 1925 at the Century Theatre and then moved to the Shubert Theatre for a total run of 152 performances. The cast included Douglass R.
