Povington Priory was a Benedictine priory in Tyneham Dorset England. Established as an alien priory to the Abbey of Bec. Wool and English ewe’s milk cheese produced here were shipped to the Mother House via the docks at Wareham.Following the Dissolution of the Monasteries the lands were passed to St. Anthony’s Hospital London
