The 2012 Portland mayoral election was held on Tuesday November 6 2012 to elect the mayor for Portland Oregon. Charlie Hales was elected mayor defeating challenger Jefferson Smith. Incumbent mayor Sam Adams did not seek a second term.Municipal elections in Oregon are non-partisan. The non-partisan primary was held on Tuesday May 15 2012.
