Pinus chiapensis is a pine tree species in the Pinaceae family and is commonly known as Chiapas pine in Spanish as Pino blanco Pinabete or Ocote. It is native to Mexico and Guatemala where it is found from 600 m up to 2200 m.[citation needed] It may grow to a height of 30-35 m.
