Phleng phuea chiwit (Thai: เพลงเพื่อชีวิต [pʰleːŋ pʰɯː tɕʰiːwit̚]; lit. Songs for Life) describes to Thai folk music strongly influenced by elements of Western folk and rock music with a protest theme mainly centred around the hardship of working-class people.
