The phalanges /fəˈlæŋdʒiːz/ (singular: phalanx /ˈfælæŋks/) are bones in the toes and fingers found in the limbs of most vertebrates. In humans and monkeys the thumbs and big toes have two phalanges while the other digits have three phalanges. The phalanges are long bones.
