Peter Velits (born 21 February 1985 in Bratislava) is a Slovak professional road racing cyclist for the BMC Racing Team. His career highlights include winning the 2007 UCI Road World Championships – Men’s Under-23 Road Race and the 2012 Tour of Oman. He was relegated to second place in the 2010 Vuelta a España after Ezequiel Mosquera tested positive for hydroxyethyl starch.
