The Peoria Explorers are a professional baseball team in the United States. The team is based in Peoria Arizona and a member of the independent Freedom Pro Baseball League which is not affiliated with Minor League Baseball. They play their home games at Peoria Sports Complex. When they were founded in 2012 they were known as the Sonoran Explorers after the Sonoran Desert.
