Pavel Smirnov (Russian: Павел Смирнов; born 14 April 1982) is a Russian chess Grandmaster (2003).In 2004 he reached the 4th round of the FIDE World Chess Championship but lost to Teimour Radjabov. In the same year he came first in the Tigran Petrosian Memorial in Yerevan.
