Colonel Paul Scott Paco Lockhart (born April 28 1956) is a former American astronaut and a veteran of two Space Shuttle missions.Lockhart born and reared in Amarillo Texas earned degrees in mathematics and aerospace engineering from Texas Tech University and the University of Texas at Austin before being commissioned in 1981 into the United States Air Force. A test pilot for the F-16 aircraft Lockhart was selected as an astronaut candidate in 1996.
