Patricia E. Patty Thompson (later Bogumil born December 5 1945) is a retired Canadian freestyle swimmer. She was part of the Canadian freestyle and medley teams that won a silver and a bronze medal at the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games. Thompson competed at the 1964 Olympics in the 400 m and 4×100 m events and finished in seventh place in the relay.Her father James was an Olympic medalist in swimming and a renown coach.
