Bishop Patrick J. McCormick (December 10 1880 – May 18 1953) was the 7th rector of The Catholic University of America. He was the first alumnus to serve as rector.He was born in Norwich CT and ordained a priest on July 26 1904 for the Archdiocese of Hartford. On September 21 1950 he was ordained as an Auxiliary Bishop of Washington DC at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.
