Pasulj (Serbian Cyrillic: Пасуљ) is a bean dish (with white or brown beans) a traditional dish in Serbian Bosnian cuisine Slovenian cuisine Croatian cuisine and Albanian though it is nowadays popular throughout many Balkan nations. It is normally prepared with meat particularly smoked meat such as smoked bacon smoked sausage and smoked joints and is a typical winter dish. Another version are the baked beans known as Prebranac.
