Paraproteinemia or monoclonal gammopathy is the presence of excessive amounts of paraprotein or single monoclonal gammaglobulin in the blood. It is usually due to an underlying immunoproliferative disorder.It is sometimes considered equivalent to plasma cell dyscrasia.
