para-Cresidine is an intermediate that is used to create dyes and pigments. It is a light yellow to light brown solid with the chemical formula C8H11ON or CH3OC6H3(CH3)NH2. It appears as white crystals. Its carcinogen category is 2 and upon heating it produces toxic fumes including nitrogen oxides. It reacts with strong oxidants and some forms of plastic rubber and coatings. para-Cresidine is possibly carcinogenic to humans.
