The Palp-footed spiders (Palpimanidae) are a spider family with about 130 described species in 15 genera.Instead of the normal six Palpimanidae have only two spinnerets. Their first legs are greatly enlarged. All species produce ecribellate silk. Palpimanidae have six eyes a red cephalothorax very strong first legs which are raised while moving. At least Palpimanus gibbulus lives in leaf litter or under stones in dry soils.
