Pakistanis are part of the South Asian minority population in Hong Kong. The 2011 census stated that there were 18042 Pakistanis in Hong Kong accounting for 0.3% of the total Hong Kong population. According to the 2006 census Pakistanis formed 3.2% of the total ethnic minority population of 342198. Among the total Pakistani population in Hong Kong 37.6% of the Pakistanis were born in Hong Kong which was relatively high when comparing to the rest of the ethnic minority groups in Hong Kong.
