Paisley Lions were a motorcycle speedway team that participated in the British National League in 1975 and 1976.The team was based at Love Street in Paisley Scotland home of St Mirren F.C..The club’s colours were red and gold with a Rampant Lion. The first meeting was held on the 5th April 1975 in front of a crowd of over six thousand people.Sid Sheldrick led the parade on the first meet leading a lion cub called Leo on a chain.
