Paddy O’Brien is a former inter-county Irish Gaelic footballer for County Meath in Ireland. He enjoyed much success playing inter-county football in the forty’s and fifty’s on the Meath team. For Meath he played in the Full Back position. He played club football first for Skryne and later for the Sean McDermotts club in Dublin. He won his first Leinster medal in 1947. He was on the Meath team which won the county’s first All-Ireland Senior Football Championship in 1949.
