The combination oxycodone/naloxone is an opioid analgesic available as managed-release tablets under the trade names Targin (produced by Mundipharma) Targiniq and Targinact. Oxycodone is responsible for the pain-relieving effects while naloxone reduces opioid-induced constipation. Constipation was significantly relieved in a 2008 study. The drug was released in 2006 in Germany and is available in some other European countries since 2009.
