In enzymology an oxalate oxidase (EC 1.2.3.4) is an enzyme that catalyzes the chemical reactionoxalate + O2 + 2 H+ 2 CO2 + H2O2The 3 substrates of this enzyme are oxalate O2 and H+ whereas its two products are CO2 and H2O2.This enzyme belongs to the family of oxidoreductases specifically those acting on the aldehyde or oxo group of donor with oxygen as acceptor. The systematic name of this enzyme class is oxalate:oxygen oxidoreductase.
