Dr. Omar Davies (born 28 May 1947) is the current Minister of Transport Works and Housing and the former Minister of Finance of Jamaica he has been succeeded by Audley Shaw & by extension Dwight Nelson and Don Wehby. He received his doctorate in Economics from Northwestern University. His service in academia includes work at Stanford University (1973 – 1976) and the University of the West Indies.
