OK Tyr is an orienteering club in Karlstad. In membership numbers it is one of the larger orienteering clubs in Sweden. The club was formed in 1936. The name was not as may be thought derived directly from the Norse god Tyr. One of the founding members Anders Forsell was inspired by a Canadian book featuring a bear called Tyr.
