The Nuu-chah-nulth (/nuːˈtʃɑːnʊlθ/;Nuu-chah-nulth: [nuːt͡ʃaːnˀuɬ])also formerly referred to as the Nootka Nutka Aht Nuuchahnulth are one of the Indigenous peoples of the Pacific Northwest Coast of Canada. The term ‘Nuu-chah-nulth’ is used to describe fifteen separate but related nations such as the Nuchatlaht First Nation whose traditional home is in the Pacific Northwest on the west coast of Vancouver Island.
