The Nunamiut or Nunatamiut people (Iñupiaq Nunataaġmiut) are semi-nomadic inland Iñupiat located in northern and northwestern Alaskan interior mostly around the Anaktuvuk Pass Alaska whose ancestors date back hundreds of years.The name Nunatamiut means people of the land.
