The NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research is an agency of the Department Attorney General and Justice responsible for research into crime and criminal justice and evaluation of the initiatives designed to reduce crime and reoffending in the state of New South Wales Australia. It was established in 1969.The director of the bureau is Dr. Don Weatherburn PSM.
