North 1 East is an English Rugby Union League at the sixth tier of the domestic competition.North 1 East is made up of teams from around Northeastern England who play home and away matches throughout a winter season. Promotion and relegation determine the makeup of the league each season with the top team automatically moving into National League 3 North. The second placed team enters into a play-off match with the second placed team in North 1 West.
