Nicole Diar (born July 21 1975) is an American convicted murderer who was sentenced to death in November 2005 for the 2003 murder of her 4-year-old son Jacob. Diar was removed from death row on December 11 2008 due to a court error (incomplete jury instructions). On June 3 2010 she was sentenced to life in prison without parole.Diar was convicted in October 2005 of killing her son Jacob. On August 27 2003 Diar suffocated her son and then set his body and the house on fire.
