Nicolas Portal (born April 23 1979 in Auch) is a French directeur sportif and former professional road bicycle racer. Following the 2009 season where he missed much of the racing season with cardiac arrhythmia problems. Portal retired as a professional cyclist following the 2010 season. He stayed with his final professional team Team Sky as a manager from the 2011 season. Following the retirement of Sean Yates Portal was appointed the Directeur Sportif of the Team Sky team for 2013.
