The Nguni languages are a group of Bantu languages spoken in southern Africa by the Nguni people. Nguni languages include Xhosa Zulu Swazi Hlubi Phuthi and Ndebele (both Southern Transvaal Ndebele and Northern Ndebele). The appellation Nguni derives from the Nguni cattle type.
