The New Politics Alliance for Democracy (NPAD) is a socially liberal political party in South Korea. It was founded on March 26 2014 as a merger of the Democratic Party and the New Political Vision Party (NPVP) as preparatory committee for the establishment of a political party. Legally however the NPAD is a newly created party and the former Democratic Party was absorbed into the NPAD after creation of the NPAD.
