New England French (French: français de nouvelle-angleterre) is a variety of Canadian French spoken in the New England region of the United States. French speakers make up 3.73% of Maine’s population 1.98% in New Hampshire and 1.61% in Vermont and in some communities in Maine they are in the majority.
