New Democracy (Greek: Νέα Δημοκρατία Néa Dimokratía also known by its initials ΝΔ ND) is a liberal-conservative political party in Greece and one of the two major parties in modern Greek politics. The party leader Antonis Samaras is the current Prime Minister of Greece.The party was founded in 1974 by Konstantinos Karamanlis and formed the first cabinet of the Third Hellenic Republic.
