Nejdet Zalev was an Olympic medalist in wrestling from the township of Ustina in south-central Bulgaria. He won the Silver Medal in freestyle wrestling (bantamweight) in the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome. He was of Turkish descent.[citation needed]
