Dr. Namas Chandra (born April 16 1952) is Elmer E. Koch Professor of Engineering Mechanics and Associate Dean for Research at College of Engineering in University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He finished his MS from University of Houston in 1983 and PhD from Texas A&M University in 1986. Between 1986 and 2006 he worked as a professor in Department of Mechanical Engineering of Florida State University-Florida A&M University’s College of Engineering.
