Myeloperoxidase deficiency is a common genetic disorder featuring deficiency either in quantity or of function of myeloperoxidase an enzyme found in certain phagocytic immune cells especially polymorphonuclear leukocytes. It can appear similar to chronic granulomatous disease on some screening tests.
