The protein forms a tightly interconnected octamer with eightfold rotation symmetry that resembles a goblet and contains a central channel. Each protein subunit contains a beta sandwich of immunnoglobulin-like topology and a beta-ribbon arm that forms an oligomeric transmembrane beta-barrel.
