Muhammed IV was seventh independent Shah of Shirvan and third Shah of Layzan. He executed his brother Ahmad b. Abu Tahir Yazid. But historian Ibn Hawqal states in his book Tarikhi al-Bab Shah’s vazir Ibn-Al Maraghi ordered his men to kill Ahmad b. Abu Tahir Yazid in prison while Shah was ill. Order was executed and body was hidden. But Shah ordered to release his brother when recovered from illness. Ibn-Al Maraghi was frightened and thus poisoned Shah.
