Muhammad Husayn Tabatabaei or Seyed Mohammad Hossein Tabatabaei (16 March 1904—7 November 1981) (Persian: علامه سید محمد حسین طباطبائی) was one of the most prominent thinkers of philosophy and contemporary Shia Islam. He is famous for Tafsir al-Mizan the Quranic exegesis.
