Mount Mawson is situated in the Mount Field National Park in Tasmania Australia. The mountain is located approximately 89 kilometres north west of Hobart and 232 kilometres from Launceston by road. Mount Mawson’s summit rises to an altitude of 1320 metres above sea level; the lower of the two mountains with downhill ski facilities in the State.
