Mosque Maryam (Temple #2) is a large mosque in Chicago Illinois United States and the headquarters of the Nation of Islam. It is located at 7351 South Stony Island Avenue in the South Shore neighborhood. Louis Farrakhan’s headquarters are located on these premises. Originally the Greek Orthodox Church of Saints Constantine and Helen it was purchased in 1972 by Elijah Muhammad. The mosque was then repurchased by Louis Farrakhan 17 years later in 1988.
