Moon facies or moon face is a medical sign which people are often born with resulting in a large chin and large forehead. This results in a ‘moon’ shape when looked at from the side.It is often associated with Cushing’s syndrome or steroid treatment (especially corticosteroids) which has led to it being known as Cushingoid facies (Cushings-like face).
