Monismanien Prize for freedom of speech was founded by Swedish filmmaker Kenne Fant in 1975. Fant’s movie Monismanien 1995 is set in a fictive post-World War III totalitarian state of the same name and portrays the effects of suppression of freedom of expression.The prize is awarded by Göteborg’s student nation at Uppsala University Sweden.
