Moldovans or Moldavians (in Moldovan/Romanian moldoveni pronounced [moldoˈvenʲ]; also written молдовень in the Moldovan Cyrillic script currently used only in Transnistria) are the largest population group of Republic of Moldova (75.8% of the population) and a significant minority in Ukraine and Russia.
